Founder's Day, JUNE 14TH , 2009 4 pm
Founder's Day as a DAY originated from a proclamation by the United States Continental Congress on October 11, 1782 in response to Great Britain's expected military defeat in the American Revolutionary War. The war did not formally end until Congress ratified The Treaty of Paris on January 14, 1784. However, Founder day was established by the U.S. Government.
The originator of Founder Days in the U.S. (at that time) became a purpose of the Government proclamation was essentially to thank God for America's good fortune in the Revolutionary War. It is important to note that this Day did not form the basis for Thanksgiving Day as it is known presently in the United States. Congressional and Presidential declarations named several days of thanks each year throughout the Revolutionary War period and after the war.
We Pause to Honor God for Founder's Day as a DAY originated from a proclamation given by the COGIC, USA AS AN IMPORTANT the phase of the Apostlic Church, New Testament Church established by our Bishop, Bishop J.L. Payne. It was established as a body of ministry in the Jackson, MS, 1986. The church now in its 23rd year acknowledge it Founder and present Chief Apostle as a Man sent from God for this dire hour of human history.
We must build an important Building in the City of Jackson, Mississippi. To build an important edifice at our present W. Silas Brown Street‘s location, A distinguished building of architecture designed and construction, of a relatively simple artistic, engineering constructions; WE WILL NEED YOU!
"Before anything of worth can be built to endure, there must be a foundation laid. There can never be lasting results in life and ministry, nor can we expect to grow, build, or simply soar into a great or supernatural dimensions of God in this time or eternity with a clear and Holy Spirit foundation laid,"
We must first be grounded in the foundation truths of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and established in His biblical principles, practicing these principles. We must be purpose and principle driven.
The beauty of any structures whether architectural, spiritual, or life must come from the foundation; from that structure alone are the materials for it to stand and endure. Therefore, when we admire end results, whether modern architecture, or the lasting relationship of individuals, it all rests in the building of the foundation. "If the foundation is not laid properly, the building cannot exist and will not exist, nor it last nor endure."
The foundations of our lives and that of others we become involved with all depends upon how well we understand foundational building and practice. Again, may we remember, our effectiveness both now and eternity rests upon the present foundation we laid with God, our fellow mankind and our Christian walk being driven by these principles. We must be built in right manner with Godly relations and the true principles of foundation laid by Lord Savior Jesus Christ. There is a key to our future in this world if we build the true foundation upon Christ through His Church..." From the pen and Lips of Our Founder, Chief Apostle, COGIC, USA
