The first message of Holiness as given in the year of 1895 was

"unity in holiness."

The spiritual vision of early COGIC'S Churches was derived from the doctrinal core of  Bishop C. H. Mason's  preaching. His depth of revelation into holiness doctrine,  justification by grace through faith, sanctification by the grace of God through faith, walking and living in sanctification and holiness as an inheritance from Christ in the new birth; and the life of Christ lived in this present world for every Believer (Christian) in holiness and faith, and the witness of the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a second work of grace into believers lives. The holiness movement arose greatly in the 1830's to 1900's and brought about a move of God in this nation America and around the word.  Holiness is a  tradition in doctrines, and practices as well the message of sanctification in a modern age.  In the early 1900's , however, the movement had splintered into many church groups after the "Azusa Street Mission Revival."
