The Christ Churches of God in Christ, USA - International Inc. is an Apostle's Doctrine, Pentecostal Church's body. Its foundation and teaching is founded upon the New Testament Church (First Century Church) which was given by our Lord Jesus Christ as the Church for this age. The Christ Churches of God in Christ's roots are deeply rooted in the Apostolic Order of the Church in the book of the Acts of the Apostles (Acts of the Apostles is the beginning revelation on the doctrine of the Apostle's teaching and order for the church). CCOGIC, USA is a growing body of believers and give records of it roots into our Founder as one of the originals of the COGIC in the United States. Bishop J. L.,Payne is a spiritual son of the late Bishop A.B. McEwen and Bishop C.H. Mason. As founder of this church's body, CCOGIC, USA, Bishop Payne has established the depth of the Apostle's ministry and its message to the present church and perhaps BECOME AN ICON IN THE TEACHING AND PRINCIPLE OF THE PRESENT DAY APOSTLE'S MINISTRY. Bishop Payne now leads one of the most profound teaching of truth concerning the bible's message on the Five (5) fold Ministry AND THE RESTORAL of the apostle's ministry to the present church's age. These revelation and teaching are recorded in several of his many books on the New Testament Church and the Kingdom of God. As a foremost teacher of these truths, the Christ Churches of God in Christ, USA now stands in leadership as s national body of believers in the Apostle's tradition. The church is not primary a denomination nor does its teachings and practices reflect the bondage of the denomination' tradition. He now leads one of the most profound teaching of truth concerning the bible's message on the Five (5) fold Ministry AND THE RESTORAL of the apostle's ministry to the present church's age. The Churches of God in Christ, USA was formed in 1984 by the present Presiding Bishop J. L. Payne, who serves as Chief Apostle of the Church. Later in 1986, the church was incorporated. Bishop Payne begins his ministry in Christ under the late Bishop A. B. McEwen. He served as leader of the church since its inception. The church originally was called the Christ International Churches and was formed with the vision of the restored message and structure of the Apostle's Doctrine. In a later convention of the church, and after the Chief Apostle had develop and presented an extensive study on the Apostolic Faith Movement under Apostle William Seymour and the study of Bishop C. H. Mason; a body of churches resulted and there was a merger of many churches, pastors and ministries who emerged into what was a merger of the CICI and called " The Christ Churches of God in Christ, USA. The distinct teaching of the Holiness' doctrine was restored, the Apostle's teaching of the Kingdom of God , the New Testament Church procedures brought brethren into a general church that presently exists founded upon the doctrine of The New Testament Church. In the 18th Leadership Convocation held in 2004 at the Mother Church in Jackson, Mississippi, an Oath of Actions was taken among it brethrens to make clear and distinguish this body from others of the same name. That is, The Christ Churches of God in Christ, USA, referred to sometimes as "Church of God in Christ, USA." Another important fact of the Christ Churches of God in Christ is it connection with the Azusa Street Revival in Los Angeles in 1907. This revival restored the Acts of the Apostle's ministry (New Testament Church) and changed the direction of the Pentecostal church movement in America and the world. The Founder and Chief Apostle was a result of that revival. His roots directly relates to Bishop Mason who was appointed in 1906 with a committee of other ministers to investigate the reports of the Azusa Street Revival. Upon Bishop Mason's return to Mississippi and Tennessee, Mason began to teach the Pentecostal experience he had found in California; only to be later rejected by Bishop C. P. Jones (Founder of Church of Christ Holiness, USA). The rejections was over the Pentecostal manifestations of the baptism that Bishop Mason and others of the group brought back. We related to that Apostolic Pentecostal outpouring as the turning point for this dispensation of the Church's Age . The Founder of the Church is the present Presiding Bishop Dr. J. L. Payne who along with other Assistant Bishops carry out the daily duties. Bishop Robert L. Carter, Secreatry General and others of this office as well as other Bishops of the church has founded churches throughout the Nation and the world. Most of the National Meetings are held at the Mother Church in Jackson, Mississippi. World headquarters are located in Jackson, Mississippi. There are several bodies of ministries under the church, such as the Payne Bible College, a bible college of Biblical Theology; An International Mission Ministry under the heading of Christ International Churches; there is an extensive amount of church's study materials, such as text books, topics of study on the Kingdom of God in the Church, the New Testament Church, Faith Teaching of the Apostle's Ministry, Spirituality Activation, etc. Office of the Chief Apostle
